My name is Epameinondas or simply Nontas. My research interests lie in the fields of Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics.
Since July 2018, I am an Applied Science Manager in the Robotics AI org at Amazon in Berlin, Germany. I am leading a scientific team that focuses on Computer Vision and Machine Learning projects.
Between February 2017 and June 2018, I was an Applied Scientist in the Computer Vision team at Amazon in Berlin, Germany. During 2012-2017, I did my Ph.D. at Imperial College London as part of the iBUG Group under the supervision of Dr. Stefanos Zafeiriou focusing on 2D/3D Deformable Models. I received my Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 2011. During 2011-2012, I was a Research Assistant in the CVSP Group under the supervision of Prof. Petros Maragos.
I co-founded the Menpo Project with Joan Alabort-i-Medina, James Booth and Patrick Snape. Menpo is a set of open source, cross-platform Python frameworks and associated tooling that provide end-to-end solutions for 2D and 3D deformable modeling.
